WORKSHOPS
All workshops are first-come, first-served, so put your top 3 choices on your registration first, then your alternative 3 choices.
1. “Basics That Cannot Be Compromised”:
No matter what denomination you are from, there are basic tenets of faith that cannot be compromised. These will be fleshed out & discussed in this informative workshop.
2. “The Church As One Body”:
There are clearly interpretational differences and denominational lines that have been drawn over the history of the Church. However, we must remember that we are still one body under Christ. This workshop will help us understand that we must foster cooperation amongst ourselves if we are to glorify Him.
3. “The Focus of Worship (More Who & Why; Less When, Where, & How)”:
Worship is the cornerstone purpose of the New Testament Church. Jesus Christ is the focus of our worship. In this workshop, we’ll discuss the when’s, where’s, & how’s, but we’ll see how they must be related to the Who and why.
4. “Understanding Differences To Avoid Splits”:
The key to a congregation’s unity is open and honest communication that is given in love. There must be healthy debate without unhealthy division. We will talk about how to stay united through challenging times.
5. “Why Not Church? (Combatting The Arguments Against Attending)””
We are clearly instructed not to forego the gathering of the saints. So why do so many people stay home? In this workshop, we’ll talk about the reasons we hear, and we’ll talk about other forms of worship and ministries.
6. “Engaging People And Presenting The Gospel”:
How do some people seem to naturally gravitate toward others while others stumble over their words? How do we engage the youth? How do we talk about Christ to people we don’t even know? This workshop will introduce some thoughts on those very questions.
